New Series At Factory163 Starts Sunday
dubbed InnerChamber — is promising to reshape the typical concert-going experience in Stratford.
All events are held at Factory163 and will include food from the County Food Company and music.
The first concert, “Beginnings,” takes place Sunday.
Artistic director Andrew Chung will be joined by three colleagues as the Factory Arts String quartet. They will present string quartet compositions by Benjamin Britten, Samuel Barber and Tchaikovsky.
The inaugural concert coincides with Stratford’s first Pride Weekend.
Lyricist and actress Marion Adler has selected poetry that represents the era of these compositions and the theme of the weekend.
The poetry by W.H. Auden, Lord Byron, Walt Whitman and Oscar Wilde will be read by actor Scott Wentworth and interwoven with the music.
Chung said the inspiration for the concert series is space at Factory 163.
“It’s a space that gets the imagination going,” he said.
Admission is $30 for an adult, $20 for a student.
